Personal Identity

I created a personal identity that reflects both my creative roots, my Asian American heritage, and playful personality. When thinking of how my business card was going to look, I wanted to lean to a more artistic style. The fortune cookie represents my Chinese-Japanese-American roots. The cookie itself is a Japanese snack that was then turned into the fortune cookie by Chinese Americans. The use of red also reflects my homage to my East-Asian roots. The front side, with the open cookie, is a play on its symbolism. When I hand someone my card and they take a look at the open cookie, it alludes that I may be in their future, as a fortune cookie suggest good things to come.
